Brian has used every version of Visual Studio starting with Visual Studio 97, and home is where the muscle memory lives. But, just like when he moved from the green screens of the HP 3000s to Windows, and later, Apple’s System 7, it’s clear that being a developer means learning to use more than one tool.

In this session Brian will cover how to use Visual Studio 2026, Visual Studio Code, and the CLI (command-line interface) to be more productive as a modern .NET developer on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

He’ll cover old tools you may not know as well as the latest AI goodness from GitHub Copilot, Claude and more. Whether you’re a bit more experienced like Brian, or this is your first year as a developer, there will be something to learn.
