The Visual Studio team actively uses AI to build Visual Studio itself. Because of the early ages of AI, no two engineers will have the same workflow with AI. In this session, we’ll take a behind-the-scenes look at how engineers across the Visual Studio organization integrate AI into their daily workflows, and how those workflows map to Visual Studio’s role in the AI era.

Rather than presenting a single “best” approach, this talk highlights real examples of how different engineers leverage AI for reviewing code changes, building and validating complex changes, diagnosing issues, and testing at scale. Attendees will see how Visual Studio serves as the central place where developers supervise AI output, apply human judgment, and ultimately ship high-quality software—using Visual Studio.
