A lot has changed since the first release of Visual Studio, both in the way we build software and in what developers expect from their tools. Through all of it, Visual Studio has continued to evolve, sometimes in big leaps and sometimes through thousands of small improvements.

In this keynote, we’ll travel through 30 years of Visual Studio, revisit some memorable moments, and see how ideas from the past still influence the product today. Then we’ll turn our attention to what comes next: a faster, more modern Visual Studio, new ways to work with AI, and a continued focus on making the everyday experience of writing and shipping software better.

There will be demos, history, lessons learned, and probably a few things we’d rather forget.

Come celebrate 30 years of Visual Studio and see what we’re building for the years ahead.
