XAML is far from dead. Whether you are creating applications for the Windows Desktop (going back to Windows Vista), Windows Store Apps, or Windows Phone, XAML is your best friend. Prescriptive design, flexible flow layout, templating, and awesome data binding are just some of the great features available from XAML and C#.

In this workshop, I will teach you to build XAML based applications from the ground up, starting with Windows Presentation Foundation, moving to Windows 8.1, and finishing with Windows Phone 8.

You will learn:

  • Building Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications for Windows
  • Building Windows 8.1 apps
  • Building Windows Phone 8 apps
