In this session I'm going to open the book on my life with a little bit of levity and a whole lot of candor to share a few lessons I’ve learned about mental health, such as accepting when therapy is helpful and recognizing the support of others. These lessons are built from experiences tackling depression and building a technical career across network administration, development, and product management.
You will learn:
- Understanding some scenarios when a therapist can provide additional support or perspectives
- Knowing how to appreciate the things we are good at while also not equating our worth to our work
- Destigmatizing discussing mental health and treating it with any available resources without shame
