Alumni Discounts
Have you been to a previous 1105 Media Event (Visual Studio Live! (VSLive!™), TechMentor℠, Live! 360, etc.)? If so, we want to extend special savings to you, our frequent and best customers. You will receive special offers via email available only to alumni. If you're an alumnus and have not received alumni specific promotions, please email us at [email protected].
 
Student / Educator Discount
We offer full-time college students and faculty from accredited universities a discount off of the full priced conference registration fees. To receive this discount, please contact the registration office at [email protected], or 949.296.9840. Subject to Visual Studio Live! verification.

Government Discount
Employees of a national/federal, state, provincial, or local government entity, including public higher education institutions employees with a valid government photo ID or .mil / .gov email address are eligible for a discount off of the full priced conference registration fees. To receive this discount, please contact the registration office at [email protected], or 949.296.9840. Subject to Visual Studio Live! verification.

New Developer Discount
If you are a new developer (or new to the Microsoft Platform) with less than three years of experience, you are eligible for $600 off our full price conference registration fees to help accelerate your career. Use Promo Code NDD. Subject to Visual Studio Live! verification.

Registration Policies

Discount Deadlines
The Visual Studio Live! Chicago Super Early Bird deadline is July 20, 2018; the Early Bird deadline is August 17, 2018.

Transfers, Cancellation and Refunds
You may transfer your conference registration to another person within your organization at any time by notifying us in writing. If you must cancel, please notify the conference registrar in writing by the deadline, August 17, 2018. You will receive a refund for the package you chose, less a $250 cancellation fee.

Cancellations made after the Early Bird deadline as well as "no-shows" are liable for the full registration fee.

In the event that Visual Studio Live! Chicago is canceled by 1105 Media, Inc., registration fees only will be refunded. Cancellations of travel reservations and hotel reservations made directly with a hotel are the responsibility of the attendee.

Hotel Cancellation
If you are unable to attend for any reason, you are responsible for canceling your own room reservations directly with the hotel at least 72 hours in advance of check-in, or you will be subject to penalties and fees by the hotel.

If you purchased the 4-Day or 3-Day Hotel Package, we will cancel your registration for you upon your written request to [email protected]. If your cancellation is received after the deadline, full hotel charges may apply.

Registration Confirmation
Registration will be confirmed by e-mail. You'll receive a message as soon as payment has been received and your registration has been processed.

Speakers & Sessions
The speakers listed on this Website are leading professionals in their respective fields. Should a speaker be unable to attend the conference, all efforts will be made to replace him or her with one of comparable experience and qualifications.

We are constantly working on improving the quality of our conference products. If the opportunity arises we may add conference sessions and workshops to the posted line-up to enhance the schedule and provide you a better product.

If you foresee any special requirements while attending Visual Studio Live! Chicago (dietary, access, or otherwise), please contact the conference registrar at [email protected], or 972.304.5380 at least one month in advance, and we'll do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Photo Release
From time to time we use photographs of conference participants in our promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance at Visual Studio Live! Chicago, 1105 Media, Inc. reserves the right to use your likeness in such materials.

Children under 18 years of age are not permitted to enter or attend any of the conference. No cameras or recording devices are permitted in the sessions at Visual Studio Live! Chicago without prior approval from 1105 Media, Inc.
