Do you have ASP.NET WebForms experience? Do you want to translate those skill to ASP.NET Core? Then you will want to watch this On-Demand Training.
The ASP.NET WebForms framework will still be supported for quite some time with bug fixes, but it is not going to be added to ASP.NET Core. In other words, it's not dead, it's simply done.
What this means to your organization is that those existing applications written in WebForms don't need to rewritten in ASP.NET Core. As long as they continue to effectively satisfy the business' needs, they can be maintained for quite some time. However, all new development should be done using ASP.NET Core.
What this means to you is that there will be plenty of maintenance work available for WebForms developers. If you want to work on greenfield projects, you will want to move your skills to ASP.NET Core.
Phil will cover the Model View Controller pattern and its ASP.NET Core implementation, views and layouts (the MVC equivalent of master pages), routing web requests to the correct area/controller/action combination, dependency injection, application configuration, environmental awareness, view components, tag helpers, client libraries management, and bundling and minification. With Phil's deep experience in delivering ASP.NET Core solutions to customers all over the US, this training will focus not just on the topics, but how and why they should be leveraged when building real world applications.
