Microsoft's strategy for next generation native applications relies on Universal Apps, being able to run on several Microsoft platforms, including Windows 10. If you are currently doing your development on WPF, you are well positioned to move to Universal Apps, but there are still significant hurdles. This session will cover the most important areas for your transition, including significant changes to the object mode and control set, new deployment options, and what you need to learn about designing user experiences on this new platform.

You will learn:

  • About Microsoft's positioning of Universal Apps vis-a-vis other native technologies
  • The ways WPF experience transitions smoothly to Universal Apps
  • The major differences you must embrace to write business apps for Windows 10 on the Universal Apps platform
