This year is a special year as VSLive! celebrates one quarter of a century of existence. Hard to believe that time flies so fast when you have fun!

25 years ago, software development was very different… or was it? Development environments were maybe not that powerful, we were running on a lot less RAM and CPU, but we were already architecting systems, converting code in bytes, running machines and connecting them with networks. We didn't have all these fancy SPAs and Clouds, but we had Internet and a web browser. A few years later we would even get JavaScript and start coding pretty cool web apps and the world would never quite be the same anymore.

Let's take a look back at the history of software development in these 25 years. Laurent Bugnion, a Senior Cloud Developer Advocate for Microsoft who downloaded his first website on Mosaic in 1993 will take you on a trip in time. We'll talk about web, desktop, cloud, networking, embedded and more…
