PowerShell, it's no longer just for Windows. In fact, with the introduction of PowerShell Core 6.0, the new PowerShell experience works identically across Windows, macOS, and Linux. As we enter a new age of cross platform systems and application management, becoming skilled in using PowerShell across multiple computing environments benefits both the PowerShell developer and the organization.
In this talk, we will walk through configuring a PowerShell Core 6.0 development environment on both Windows and non-Windows systems. We will then explore the benefits of PowerShell automating across platforms, including Docker containers. As a result of attending this session, you will be able to quickly transition your existing PowerShell skills from a Windows centric world, to systems and application management across multiple computing platforms.
