This session focuses on integrating mobile devices with SharePoint 2013 both on-prem and in the cloud.

The new remote APIs in SharePoint 2013 finally provides the mobile developers with some good options to create true mobile device applications. As more and more of the business world becomes mobile workers the opportunity to create SharePoint mobile applications is dramatically increasing. These mobile applications tend to support specific needs of a group and allow users to accomplish their tasks quicker than using a mobile-aware SharePoint page./

This session goes beyond creating mobile-ready designs in SharePoint 2013 and focuses on integrating mobile devices with SharePoint 2013 both on-prem and in the cloud. The session will look specifically at how to create a mobile SharePoint application using Windows Phone and Android. Time permitting we will discuss how IOS and WinRT can be used as a platform for mobile SharePoint applications.

• To create SharePoint mobile applications using the Windows Phone and Android platform
• Review various connection options to access SharePoint from a mobile device. How SharePoint mobile applications differ between in the cloud and on-prem.
