In this workshop, Windows Azure MVP, Eric D. Boyd will walk you through the Compute, Data and Application Services that make up Windows Azure. This includes Web Sites, Cloud Services, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, SQL Database, Active Directory, Mobile Services, and more. You will learn how to create web and mobile applications using Windows Azure. You will learn how to run your on-premise applications and application servers in Windows Azure. And you’ll even learn how to create a hybrid cloud between Windows Azure and your own data center to enable cross-premise connectivity.
Even if you’re not considering deploying your production applications to Windows Azure at this time, using Windows Azure for Dev/Test can accelerate your software development efforts, and Eric will walk through how to use Windows Azure for Dev/Test.
Lastly, you will learn general best practices for architecting applications for scale, cost, reliability and management in Windows Azure from Eric’s real-world experience building highly available, large scale applications in Windows Azure.
