The application life cycle of Windows Store apps presents some unique challenges to application developers. To help address some of these challenges, Windows includes a collection of background APIs. This session will do a deep dive into these APIs and demonstrate the differences, effectiveness, and limitations of each. In addition to looking at each API, we will take a look at some alternative approaches to use when the APIs will not work.
