In mid-2022, Microsoft added significant performance management and scorecard capabilities to Power BI. Once a distinct sub-discipline within BI, these capabilities allow organizations to track their goals, KPIs (key performance indicators) and OKRs (objectives and key results) within teams, business units and across the entire organization. Scorecards can contain simple lists of goals and progress towards them, or they can present categorized, hierarchical groupings of those goals. They can be data driven on the input side, or manually input and updated, and the progress and trends within them can be visualized in Power BI reports, as can the scorecards themselves.
