Over the past two decades, SQL Server has undergone a remarkable evolution, emerging as the most widely deployed database in the world. A great number of new features have been announced for Azure SQL and SQL Server to support developers in being more efficient and productive when creating new solutions and applications or when modernizing existing ones. In this hands on workshop, we'll dedicate a full day to deep diving into each one of these new features such as JSON, Data API builder, calling REST endpoints from inside the database, Azure function integrations, ChatGPT/OpenAI, and much more, so that you'll learn how to take advantage of them immediately.

You will learn:

• How to develop with Azure SQL Database locally and in the cloud
• How to REST/GraphQL enable data in the database
• Modern developer focused features in the Azure SQL Database
• How to use AI with your data

• You must provide your own laptop computer (Windows or Mac) for this hands-on lab.
