Most development shops have no structured process for defining and designing user interfaces and user experiences. As teams move to modern apps, a defined UX design phase becomes much more important. In this workshop, you'll see a lightweight process from beginning to end of UX design, with options at various stages to allow you to construct a process that works for your team. You'll see techniques for pinning down business needs, observing users, storyboarding design ideas, prototyping your best ideas, and evaluating designs with users and other stakeholders. This is a no-code session with interactive exercises, so come ready to do some hands-on work on techniques you can take back to your team.

You will learn:

  • How to realize benefits of a design process
  • How to understand stages and steps in a typical lightweight design process
  • Options for steps to allow construction of a design process customized to your team
