ECMAScript (a.k.a. JavaScript to those unfamiliar with its "standards" name) has taken the development world by storm in the past few years, in no small part due to the success of the framework/tool/utility/environment known simply as NodeJS. In this presentation, we'll go over what is in NodeJS, but more importantly, what is in its impressive list of add-on modules, where to use it, when to use it, and how Node is just different enough from your traditional development stack to merit some attention.
