Many companies are realizing that building their own data lake and Big Data processing solution on premise is more complex than managing a traditional database/data warehousing environment. Moving their data lakes into the cloud provides benefits around scalability, capital and even operational costs. This session will give you an overview of how to architect big data solutions such as lambda architectures in Microsoft Azure and walk you through the necessary components reaching from ingestion with Stream Analytics, over data and process orchestration with Data Factory, Big Data processing with either or both HDInsight/Hadoop and Azure Data Lake, to analytics with SQL Datawarehouse, and explain and contrast some of the capabilities of each of the components.
