For more than 35 years, you've been content to use a keyboard and monitor to interact with your computer. The mouse, touch screen and other input devices have transformed how to communicate with computers. But screens of all sizes—from one to 80 inches—have all always been the de facto method to perceive the primary output from our computers and devices, until now. The Oculus Rift aims to be the first mainstream consumer device for Virtual Reality (VR). While Microsoft's HoloLens merges the real world with the virtual via holograms to create advanced mixed reality scenarios (also known as augmented reality, or AR). This session is your introduction to building AR & MR applications and games using C# and Visual Studio. You'll review many of the hardware options, their respective SDKs and how to design real-world scenarios for both the consumer space and the enterprise.
