Data science is one of the hottest areas in our industry. It is also one of the most confusing and misunderstood. In this workshop, we will review what it takes to do data science, the processes, the people, the skills, the languages and the technology. The workshop will use Microsoft technologies, but we will also discuss, demo, and have hands-on of a series of open source tools and tech as well.

You will learn how to prep data, build and evaluate models, deploy models, and consume models using Microsoft Azure. You will do this using a combination of R, Python, C#, Spark, Excel, and PowerBI.

By the end of this workshop you will feel thoroughly grounded and ready to start your journey into the data science realm. You will have ideas and opinions about what your personal journey should be and also that of your organization.
