Many of you Windows systems administrators consider yourselves "allergic" to Linux because Windows is all you've known, professionally. You may be forced to deploy and support Linux servers, or you may simply realize that Linux is a better fit for their departmental goals. In any event, this session has two goals: To teach you how to choose, deploy, and maintain Linux–based virtual machines in the Microsoft Azure public cloud, and also to help you get over your learning curve with the Linux operating system.
You will learn:
- How to choose and deploy Azure–based VMs in Microsoft Azure
- How to use SSH to make remote administrative connections to their cloud VMs
- How to efficiently navigate the Linux operating system to perform core administrative tasks
